This isn't actually an Ancient History question but I noticed this board had been recently posted upon... I hope you don't mind.
I am in my final year of education and doing a Scope and Sequence for an assessment. I am doing a Year 9 S&S (Australia to 1914, WW1, Elective, WW2..)
I am needing to write a rationale for my choices. The only real sequencing choice is the elective (1920s or 1930s) and I know my choice somehow relates to the Year 10 Scope and Sequence and the subject choices there. Which should I choose and how shall I rationalise it?
Hi Isabel, Can I suggest you have a look at the 7-10 History Support Document (Advice on Programming and Assessment) on the Board of Studies website at the address below. Page 6 onwards has some scope and sequence statements which may give you some ideas. Don't forget to have a look at the 7-10 History Syllabus as well - its introductory aims and rationale statements should help you to develop your own.
