The syllabus asks us to cover New Kingdom Queens, and names Tetisheri, Ahhotep II and Ahmose-Nefertari. Is there much material on Ahhotep II? I thought it might be a misprint for Ahhotep I.
Hi Jenni, I know it's way past the June date when you posted this query, but thought I would reply anyway. The Ahhotep issue is an interesting one and there are a couple of theories. The queen for whom we seem to have the most evidence is Ahhotep II - daughter of Tetisheri, wife of Seqenenre, mother of Ahmose (founder of NK). If there are indeed two queens of this name (evidence not conclusive), Ahhotep II is the older one - (they are numbered I and II in the order of the discovery of their tombs it would seem). Won't labour the point here. It's actually a fascinating historiographical issue. You'll find some discussion of this in the HSC Ancient text, Antiquity 3 (Hurley, Medcalf, Murray and Rolph) pp 166-167.
