Just wondering if anyone else was unhappy with the options for the Julio-Claudians? My concerns focus on the inequality between an assess and explain question and also the validity of testing only one year (four emperors) from such a large time span. Was this section structured unfairly and in such a way as to prevent students exhibiting the full breadth of their knowledge?
I think the 'explain why' aspect of the Julio-Claudians question allowed students to display knowledge of more than the one year. In order to explain why there were four emperors, students would have had to address the events that had happened before the succession of Galba, like the fundamental problems of the principate, Nero's reign and the political instability it caused.
